Summer Series Week #8 – August 25, 2026 (Last Week of the Series)

Hi Fleet! Sadly it’s here – our last night of racing.  Wow, did time fly this summer!  Our race chair is the same as last week, Michael Kucharski on John Hayward’s pontoon.  We are looking at a beautiful day with sunny skies, temps around 80 degrees, low humidity……..but very light winds, < 5mph all day. 

Stay tuned for changes. If there is a cancellation, there’s a good chance there’ll be a gathering at Main St. Pub. If we race, the fleet will meet there for results.  

The year end party will be held at Big T’s in Lawton, on Sunday Oct. 25th, starting around 4:30 pm, so save the date!  More details to follow as we get closer.  Later, Kathy – ALCA Secretary 

UPDATE

Our last night of racing has been cancelled due to lack of consistent wind on the lake. If anyone is interested, we will be meeting at Main Street Pub at 6:30.

Summer Series Week #7 – August 18, 2026

If you haven’t noticed – we have two weeks left of our Summer Series!  Tuesday, our RC is Michael Kucharski on John Hayward’s pontoon. Weather looks pleasant to start, similar to today – temps in the low 80s, partly cloudy skies and winds out of the southwest at 10 mph at race time. There is a slight chance of showers through the evening. After sailing gathering is at Main St. for food, cheer and results!

Summer Series Week #6 – August 10, 2026

HI Fleet,

OK – so y’all were sleeping last week or didn’t read the email – I mistakenly labeled last week as week 6, but it is actually tomorrow and nobody caught it!   The weather for Tuesday, Week #6 will bring us temperatures in the mid 70’s, a chance of thunderstorms in the late afternoon and light west winds at 4 mph.  Andy Lenczycki is your Race Chairman for the night.  If there is racing, weather permitting, meet at Main St. afterwards for cheers, food and results. 

The conversation has been started for the year end party, and it will be sometime on a Sunday in late October, early November. As soon as the officers narrow down a date, I will look into a venue we can meet at.

Summer Series Week #5 – August 4, 2026

Hi Fleet!

Hard to believe – it’s August already!  Tuesday looks like a pleasant day, with temperatures in the low 80s with partly sunny skies and winds from the south at 7mph, decreasing over the evening. Nick Harmer is signed up to be our Race Chair on Lenczycki’s boat.  Please remember to sail by the committee boat to check in when you get out onto the water. 

After sailing we go to Main St. Pub on Westnedge as usual, for results.
